When visiting Grand Bahama Island, your cruise ship will dock at Lucaya Harbor, which is 10 minutes from Freeport and 25 minutes from Lucaya. Not much is within walking distance of Lucaya Harbor, so you'll need to take a taxi or a bus to reach any Bahaman attractions.
Prince George Wharf is where your Bahamas cruise to Nassau will dock. The surrounding area is active, and developed, and most attractions are within walking distance. Taxis, buses, and rental cars are also readily available.
Some cruise lines own private islands in the Bahamas and will stop there during your Bahamas cruise vacation.

Temperatures vary little in the Bahamas from the average temperature of 80 degrees, and most days it's sunny outside. The rainy season occurs from May to October, and the hurricane season is most active from August through November, though the odds are always unlikely that you will be struck by a severe storm.
